The Mother Goose Society was founded in 1987 by Gloria T. Delamar, author of two books about Mother Goose and another about early childhood rhymes and rhythms.* Glo is Webmaster of this site. Purpose: "To re-appreciate the old nursery rhymes." Motto: "Either alone or in sharing, read childhood nursery favorites and feel the warmth of Mother Goose's embrace." The Mother
Goose Society is a concept, not a dues-paying or membership organization.
What we do have is an enduring love for the Mother Goose persona and for the rhymes and other childhood pleasures attributed to her. |
